How are we doing today? Things are going well on this front. I just wanted to jump on here, real quick, and give you the latest news, so let's get to it.
Work has officially begun on the next Sand Dollar Rodeo album! We are planning for a November release. We have quite a few songs, that are at various stages of completion. Some have lyrics, others have a working title, some have some music, but no words, and one is basically complete.
The complete song should be working it's way into the live show, very soon. We are having a rehearsal, with all of the guys on February 22, and this will be one of the songs that we will be going over. Right now, it's in demo form, but we are looking to record it in March. We also have a couple of others that are on their way to being complete. We will start trickling these in to the show, once they are complete, as well.
I'm really excited about the new songs, and am really looking forward to getting them out there. The main reason we are not playing out very much, right now, is so we can work on new material and get it recorded. Our next public show is not until March 29. We do have a couple of private shows scheduled before then, though.
The shows will start to pick up again, come spring. We've already booked a lot of shows and are working on adding more. We will also be adding some new items to the merch table, for this spring. Could one of the items be the long awaited, SDR T-Shirt? Could be, you will have to come to a show to find out! We are also looking at some different ways to distribute some of the new tunes, to hold you over until the album comes out. More details will follow on that, as they come available.
