So, fall seems to be unofficially upon us. You wouldn't know it by the weather though. We've pretty much been in the 100's all week. I had a great time in New Orleans and Florida, with my family. What a great way to end the summer! I'm slowly getting back into my routine. The kids started school on Monday and I went back to work at the day job. Although fall does not officially begin until September 23rd, most people seem to consider Labor Day weekend as the "end of summer" so to speak. Football season will be kicking off this weekend (woo hoo!), I know how much Roy loves his football! We will also be returning to the stage this weekend, with a show at Hollywood & Vine.
Even though it's only been a couple of weeks, it feels like forever since we have played. I'm really looking forward to getting back on stage. This will most likely be our last full band show, of the season, at Hollywood & Vine. They have a huge outdoor patio, with an awesome elevated stage. From my understanding, they will be moving things indoors beginning in November. The performances, during this time, will be acoustic based, which means no full bands. So, if you want to come check us out at Hollywood & Vine, then this will be your last chance to catch us, on the patio, until next spring. We will be down there this Saturday, August 30. Downbeat is at 7:30pm. We have two new originals, that we will playing, as well as a few new covers. Heck, I might even sing one or two for you!
Hollywood & Vine has plenty of ice cold beverages to beat that summer/fall heat, they also have a full menu of tasty treats, that includes fried okra! Highs will be in the mid 90's, but it should cool down quickly, as the sun sets. The patio has plenty of shade. So c'mon down to Glen Rose and spend part of your Labor Day weekend with us! Hollywood & Vine is located at 101 Vine Street, Glen Rose, TX 76043.
I'm really looking forward to fall. We have several cool shows coming up, and we will be working hard on our new album. Lots of exciting stuff coming down the pipe. Stay tuned and I'll talk to ya soon!
